Regional Officials Course.
British Cycling Regional Officials course aimed at providing clubs and regions with a good base of qualified volunteers. As with most volunteer lead sports, there is a regular requirement to offer the opportunity to re-train or to provide opportunities for new blood to get involved. Each and every club should ideally have several trained volunteers to cover in the event of an absence. Now we all know BMX is a demanding and time consuming sport to run, so please do spread the burden and offer the opportunity not just to your committee, but to your members and members family. It might help bring in some welcome assistance.
The course is run over 1 day and a straight forward On Line section based on the information you will be sent pre course. The day will cover 5 modules and once the course is finished, you will have the opportunity to finalise your qualification and become a Regional Commissaire by assisting at regional events and completing a log book.

The course starts with a short power point presentation but is mostly “hands-on” with participants working in pairs. If participants or their club have their own laptop with the basic specifications being Microsoft Office 2003 or later (but not Office 2013). The venue costs for these courses are normally funded by the Region.
